Apartment Maintenance Notice

Read the notice and the reply below. Answer Questions 1 to 11.

From: Margaret Lowe, Property Manager

To: All residents, Elmwood Towers

Subject: Planned maintenance and temporary service interruptions — October

Dear residents,

This letter is to inform you of scheduled maintenance work that will affect building services during October. Please read the following details carefully, as some disruptions will require you to make alternative arrangements in advance.

Hot water will be shut off on October 9 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. while the building's water heater is serviced. Cold water will remain available throughout this period. Residents who need hot water for medical or care reasons should contact the management office by October 5 so that alternative arrangements can be made.

The parking garage will be resurfaced on October 14 and 15. All vehicles must be removed by 7:00 a.m. on October 14. Temporary street parking permits have been arranged with the city and are available at the management office, first come, first served, starting October 10. Only one permit per unit will be issued. Vehicles left in the garage after 7:00 a.m. on October 14 will be towed at the owner's expense.

Elevator service will be reduced to one elevator during the inspection period of October 21 to 23. Residents requiring accessible elevator access should notify the office in advance, and priority scheduling can be arranged. During this time, please allow extra time for lobby access, especially during morning and evening peak hours.

We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation. If you have questions, please contact the management office at extension 204 or by email.

I will need the hot water on October 9 for my mother's morning care routine. Could you tell me what [____4____] arrangements are available for residents in our situation?

Finally, I want to confirm: if I remove my car from the garage by 7:00 a.m. on October 14, I will not be [____5____] any towing fees, correct?
