Hybrid Work Policy Update

Read the email and the reply below. Answer Questions 1 to 11.

From: Human Resources Department

To: All full-time employees

Subject: Revised hybrid work policy — effective September 1

Dear team,

Please review the following changes to our work arrangements, which take effect on September 1. Please note the deadlines listed below and take any required action before those dates.

Effective September 1, the company is moving to a structured hybrid model. Full-time employees in office-based roles are classified as hybrid-eligible and must be physically present in the office for a minimum of three days per week. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday are designated anchor days on which all hybrid-eligible employees must be present. The third required day may be any remaining weekday, chosen with your manager. Employees in client-facing, facilities, and laboratory roles are classified as in-office-required and must be present five days per week.

All hybrid-eligible employees must have their schedule approved by their direct manager by August 15. Approvals must be confirmed in writing; verbal agreements are not acceptable. If you have not received written confirmation by August 20, please contact Human Resources directly.

Employees with documented medical conditions or primary childcare responsibilities that make three-day attendance difficult may request a reduced minimum of two days per week. These requests must be submitted to Human Resources by August 1, along with appropriate supporting documentation. Approved accommodations are reviewed annually.

To support your home workspace, the company is providing a one-time equipment stipend of $200 to hybrid-eligible employees. This may be used for monitors, keyboards, or other peripherals. It may not be used for internet service, furniture, or software. Claims must be submitted through the expense portal within 60 days of September 1. Employees who leave the company before the end of the calendar year will repay a prorated share of the stipend.

The policy will be reviewed at the end of the trial period on December 31. An anonymous feedback survey will be distributed in November. Any permanent changes will be communicated by February of the following year.
